Chapter 4 Caverns of Knowledge is complete! The last page took 21 days to complete, which was very fast, though it has lots of details. The one before took 3 months.
I am taking a break to sketch ahead for book 7 and 8. I am starting to ink book 5, but it is a detour, so it kinda stands alone, in a new style. The experiment continues.

Slow progress
I have two spreads left to complete chapter 4. A very busy life means that my last few pages have taken far too long to complete. I have asked my son, who wants to illustrate graphic novels, to ink my pencil sketches for chapter 5, Detour Tales. Somehow I will find time and methods to speed up my spread creation.

Ghost Parade
I finally posted my first complete website online, and will put my link out for my friends and family. I also posted page 27 of chapter 4, the Ghost Parade. It has a crowd of figures of different sizes. The most detailed page, I did some of the character drawings in Adobe draw, an iOS app for vector art. It took over 2 months, because I also went to Sweden and London with my wife and daughter. Only 3 more pages to complete the chapter.

Speech bubbles
Page 26, Deep Conversations, is full of speech bubbles. The most talkative page I have done. For this, I found it very challenging, and I don’t like it as much. However, I worked it until it had the ‘complete’ feeling that I look for before I can post it.
Not to be held back by challenges, my next page will have, by far, the most characters in it. It is causing me to dream about solutions, as the layout is complicated and awkward. It’s supposed to be a surprise, and will probably be called City of Ghosts. Since this blog is read by nobody, it will be a complete surprise. It may even surprise me, if it turns out good. My Isle Obscura presents creative challenges for me often.

Progress towards a website
With Chapter Four almost complete, I have started three different kinds of websites, and hopefully finally will get a good one online, that friends can use to read the whole story in order. I am learning much, but have little time beyond my day job. I am content being creative, and giving a look to my dreams. I look at the first book, and see much that is not good art. I still am not good at dialog.

Book printing
I have chapter 4 up to page 15, and I have printed the first two chapters as a book. Finally, a graphic novel in print! I hope, sometime next year, to print chapters 3-4, but now I have the challenge that these chapters will be more than 100 pages, so I will have to find some way to print it somewhere else. My pages have improved. I have also started sketches for the next book, Detour Tales. It is an insert, to follow the travels of Trambite and Zendu through the ruined city. It is fresh story.

The next stage has begun
Chapter Three: The Caverns of Knowledge has begun. I draw when my wife is at work, and I work from home twice a week. Page three of the chapter is the next one on my plate, and I am glad to be going again! I still work as a graphic designer in elearning, and I also do development and audio creating.
I expanded the beginning of Chapter Three, so the first several pages didn't exist until recently. I felt that a huge bird in the sky deserved more attention and story, and it is HUGE. People would be tired of my clouds, if many people saw these. I'll have to research how to draw different, less expected ones.
